As soon as they left the synagogue, Simon and Andrew invited Jesus, James, and little Johnny over to their house. By the time they got there, they were all really hungry but there wasn't a woman home who could serve them. Simon's mother-in-law was there, but she was in bed with hot flashes and vaginal atrophy.
The disciples figured that if they could convince Jesus that she was desperately ill, Jesus might heal her and then she could make something to eat for everyone.
So they told Jesus that Simon's mother-in-law had a terrible fever. He went over and took her by the hand. Indeed, she was on fire.
Jesus lifted her up and the hot flashes left her! She still had vaginal atrophy, but nobody needed to know about that.
And so Simon's mother-in-law served them, and they didn't have to be hungry anymore. Awww.
